Description
Join the Kentucky State University Forestry and Natural Resources program to see first year results of a pollinator habitat establishment study.
Six pollinator habitat establishment systems were designed in partnership with Roundstone Native Seed to demonstrate a range of good to poor site preparation (weed control) and the resulting effects on native seed establishment and pollinator utilization.
Site prep started in Sept 2022, native seeds were installed by Roundstone Native Seed Sept 2023, and we’re collecting vegetation and bee data through 2026.
We’ll show each system and discuss 1st year data trends related competition control, native forb establishment and bee (native and non-native) utilization.
