HJR41 (Bowling) Directs the Department of Revenue and the University of Kentucky's Department of Forestry and Natural Resources to submit a report to the Legislative Research Commission by December 1, 2022, detailing their recommendations for equitable property tax assessment procedures for well-managed forests. Summary Recent Background: HJR 41 was originally in the Committee on Committees and it moved to the Agricultural Committee during the week of March 7, 2022. As of March 11 it has been posted for passage in the House. KWOA Director, Jim Corum has championed this movement for a good 20 years and we are thrilled to see it moving forward.
