KWOA Tributes:  Our Leaders and Founders

This page is dedicated to recognizing the people who founded KWOA and our leaders over the years. Each of these people has contributed countless hours and energy to serve woodland owners across Kentucky, and beyond through KWOA. Their dedicated service has seen us grow from an idea to a statewide organization promoting stewardship of our woodland resources through sustainable management practices.  From charismatic leaders and organizers to delivering crucial administrative functions [think annual meeting programs/event planning, researching various programs and forestry initiatives, newsletter, website & E-news ] and leading by example [think attending and hosting field days, collaboration with our partners, & advocacy with business and legislators, scholarship funding]. Over the years (many before we had a digital presence) we have given Founders Awards and now Leadership Awards; it will take us a while to populate this page fully from hard copy and archived files...so we will begin in the present and work backward and go forward in the years ahead. This is a way to recognize and show our appreciation for the leaders who have given generously in service to our mission of bringing people and woodland sustainability together.
