Recent Changes NRCS State office

NRCS State Office personnel changes:

• State Conservationist Greg Stone retired at the end of the year. 
  • State Resource Conservationist Casey Shrader is currently acting State Conservationist.

• Assistant State Conservationist (ASTC) for Partnerships Sonya Keith accepted a (remote) position with the NRCS national watersheds staff back in October.
  • Steve Beam has been selected as the new ASTC – Partnerships effective January 30, 2023.
  • Michael Zachary was selected as the new NRCS Outreach Coordinator on the Partnership staff. This is a new position for Kentucky NRCS.

• ASTC for Easements Reed Cripps retired back in October.
  • Brain Jones, former supervisory district conservationist out of London (Southeast Work Unit), has been selected as the new ASTC – Easements effective January 30, 2023.
